It was unbelievable-we had a guide right behind us steering the glider. You kind of sit while flying. We got all harnessed in and basically ran a little toward the edge and then the wind picks you up and you gently sail out over the valley. 5k elevation and higher with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, mountain wildlife and perfect little valley below. I was really nervous but still enjoyed it, Ruben loved it and his guide steered them into little swirls and dives at one point for more thrills. It was surprisingly calm and relaxing! I'm still shocked that we did it. I got a usb with pics from a go pro camera that my guide had but I couldnt download the photos tonight. I'll try to post them soon. Ruben had my phone and snapped a few of me distantly and of his view down below.
The rest of the day was pretty relaxing. We checked out an incredibly powerful waterfall inside a mountain that drains the melted snow runoff from the 3 huge peaks beside us. (We've seen no less than 20 different waterfalls on our hikes due to melted snow runoff.) I was happy to witness the local farmers moving their alpine cows from the nearby fields through the town streets! They are mostly red Holsteins (because they use them to make cheese) and they wear large metal bells around their necks so the farmers can easily locate them on the mountains. We've been listening to them for days but I was thrilled to see them up close!
After another delicious dinner cliffside (we tried a local specialty of hash browns with other yummy stuff called Roosti) it is time to pack for the next leg of our journey. Neuschwanstein castle!

What an amazing experience! So happy for you!
