In Basel we checked into our hotel and had a quiet dinner. We're reviewing tomorrow's plans-we may encounter a lot of rain that will put a damper on our alp hiking and views. Stay tuned till tomorrow to see!

Switzerland Here We Come!
We packed up our things today, saw one more sight and headed for Switzerland. I'll miss you Paris!!! We visited the Rodin museum before we left, his bronze statutes were in a nice garden and were great to see. It was a little hectic getting on our TGV train to Basel, Switzerland. It was a long train and my tickets from home didn't print exactly right. But we found our seats and enjoyed the ride. The train can go up to 198 miles per hr but it didn't seem to be going that fast to us. My favourite thing about the train was that the doors between cars were like Star Trek-you pulled a lever and they opened up with a shhhh noise, and closed behind you by themselves! And it was very comfortable and nice to see the French countryside go by.

My parents want to know where you are staying in Basel...they love that town.
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at Hotel Spalentor in the Splatentor area. We could see the old tower to that area from our window. We didn't get to see much of the city, and Ruben was not happy after paying $24 for spaghetti!
